Back2Local: Campaign Announcement

You’ve heard it before, and you’re about to hear it again: local businesses are the heart of our communities. And, with everything happening in the world, Stringam thinks it’s time to get Back2Local.

Back2Local is our newest initiative. Its aim is to support local businesses alongside local food banks, which means supporting local twice.

Here’s How It Works

At Stringam we understand that no one has been hit harder than local small businesses and non-profits over the past year. We believe in supporting local and that’s why we are putting our money where our mouth is and launching the Stringam Back2Local initiative.

We’ve partnered with local businesses in Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat to produce a Limited Edition Stringam product – easily recognizable by its orange packaging. The best part is for every item purchased, Stringam will donate to a local food bank.

Our desire is to drive business to these local spots. This means that each local business receives 100% of the proceeds from your purchase. The donation will be made by Stringam separately: the amount is determined by how many Back2Local items are sold.

All in all, this campaign works in two parts:

  1. You visit a favourite local spot and purchase a product from our Stringam Back2Local line to support that local business.
  2. Stringam donates to the food bank for every purchase made.

Here Are the Back2Local Partnerships

Grande Prairie

In Grande Prairie, our local business partnership is with Grain Bin Brewing.

The team at Grain Bin has created a delightful Back2Local beer inspired by our partnership and a delicious mojito, called Sui Generis Citrus.

Stringam will donate $3 for every 4-pack sold to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Medicine Hat

Our local business partnership is with Hell’s Basement Brewery.

Be on the lookout for the Limited Edition, Orange, Back2Local versions of their popular, The Feather, beer.

We will donate $3 for every 6-pack sold to the Medicine Hat Food Bank.

Lethbridge

Here, we’ve partnered with Cuppers Coffee House.

Cuppers has created a fantastic Stringam Back2Local roast. This Medium Roast is available for purchase at their shop.

Stringam will donate $10 from every 1lb bag sold to the Interfaith Food Bank.
