Our summer student program will help you to prepare for your career as a lawyer, give you the practical experience you will need to launch a successful career in law. Students learn about the practical aspects of the practice of law – an experience you will not have received while attending law school but an experience which is still just as important as the formal education you receive.

Flexibility to Choose

Stringam LLP offers significant diversity of choice and we seek to accommodate individual preferences within specific practice areas to provide a rich and rewarding experience as well as satisfying all the requirements of the articling program.  Our students gain real life experience while gaining a broad base of knowledge and understanding across many practice areas which prepares them for a future career in law.

What You Will Experience

Students at Stringam LLP will have an opportunity to work on a variety of matters.  You will have the opportunity to draft pleadings, commercial and residential real-estate agreements, memorandum of law and legal opinions, participate in preparing and arguing motions, attend discovery and mediation, attend closings, and participate in trials and other court appearances.  You will also have an opportunity to meet with and develop client relationships

Mentoring

During every rotation, our students will work under the supervision of a designated lawyer who practices in the particular area. It is the responsibility of the designated lawyer to ensure that the student receives a variety of work, guidance and instruction so that each student is provided with a balance of work opportunities during their summer employment.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for our articling students is competitive within our local market.
