Admitted to bars of Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories and California, Darryl Carter is renowned lawyer in the area of surface rights.

As the founder of Darryl Carter & Company in 2003, Darryl built his practice in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Over the years, Darryl Carter became known for his expertise in representing landowners across Alberta whose land is required by oil and gas companies or powerline operators.

As Darryl Carter & Company became more successful in providing significant value to a strong client base of landowners across Alberta, Darryl Carter was approached by SGB Law LLP to join their firm in November 2015. This led to another merger with Stringam Denecky LLP, where all three firms became Stringam LLP effective January 1, 2016.

Darryl has appeared as counsel in numerous cases before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and the Supreme Courts in British Columbia and the Yukon. This also includes the Federal Court of Appeal and the Courts of Appeal in Alberta, Northwest Territories, Manitoba and British Columbia and the United States District Court.

Darryl has also appeared before the following various tribunals:
