Elise is a 2020 graduate of the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she spent one year at the Medicine Hat College and two years at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where she was a double Bachelor of Arts Candidate in Classical Studies and Art History.
A born-and-raised “Hatter”, Elise returned home each summer in between her studies to work as a lifeguard with the City of Medicine Hat, and more recently, to summer with Stringam LLP’s Medicine Hat office.
During her time in law school, Elise was actively involved in several student group social justice and access to justice initiatives, including Student Legal Services, the Women’s Law Forum, and the LGBTQ+ student group, OUTLaw. In her final year of law school, she was a team lead on the Faculty of Law’s Blog on Reconciliation in Indigenous-Canada relations, ReconciliActionYEG.
Elise looks forward to beginning her legal career at Stringam LLP as a Student-at-Law and to contributing professionally to her hometown. She is interested in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, Employment and Labour Law, and Wills & Estates.
In her free time, Elise enjoys cooking, running, cycling, swimming, curling, and golf.
