John was born & raised in Brooks, Alberta and attended the University of Lethbridge before embarking on an LL.B. from the University of Calgary, which he completed in 1995. After Law School, John articled at Stringam and eventually worked his way up to the position of Managing Partner, which he has held since 2008. In addition, he was awarded a King’s Counsel designation in March of 2020.
John has built a practice focused on Estate Litigation, Family Law disputes, and Corporate Law (including Bankruptcy & Insolvency). He has successfully appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta and the Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatchewan. John works out of Stringam’s Lethbridge office but travels to service clients throughout Alberta & Saskatchewan, both in person and virtually.
Outside the office, John enjoys the great outdoors, going to the gym and spending time with family.
