Carlee was born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. It was there that she completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree through the University of Regina, earning the University Prize in Social Work, which is awarded to the most distinguished student earning a first degree. She subsequently worked for the Saskatchewan Health Authority and received great satisfaction from working in a helping and problem-solving role where she was consistently able to advocate for clients. She then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to earn her JD with distinction, as well as receive the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers’ Association Prize. While completing her law degree, Carlee volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada as a team lead for the CLASSIC project.
Through her previous employment Carlee developed a keen interest in family law, which was strengthened during her law school journey. Carlee currently maintains a general practice, which keeps her challenged and learning, in the areas of family, criminal, wills and estates, real estate, and corporate law.
Carlee has been called to the bar in Alberta and Saskatchewan and is a member of the law societies in each jurisdiction. Carlee is located in Medicine Hat, but serves clients all over Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Outside of work, Carlee enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her beloved cat, Gizmo, and participating in almost any activity that involves being outdoors. Some of her favorites include hiking, golfing (when she isn’t duffing shots), and travelling.
