CARLEE GUSIKOSKI

Carlee was born and raised in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. It was there that she completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree through the University of Regina, earning the University Prize in Social Work, which is awarded to the most distinguished student earning a first degree. She was fortunate to subsequently work for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, with most of her experience being in a mental health therapist role. Carlee was extremely passionate about this work; she received great satisfaction from working in a helping and problem-solving role, with the ability to advocate for clients. She especially found that working with families going through separation and transitions is something that was, and remains, close to her heart. She then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to earn her JD with distinction, as well as receiving the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers’ Association Prize. While completing her law degree, Carlee volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada as a team lead for the CLASSIC project.

Through her previous employment Carlee developed a keen interest in family law, which was strengthened during her law school journey. She became further interested in wills and estates, real estate, tax, and criminal law during her time in law school. She hopes to develop an expansive practice to continuously keep her challenged and learning.

Outside of work, Carlee enjoys participating in almost any activity that involves being outdoors. Some of her favorites include hiking, golf (when she isn’t duffing shots), horseback riding, and spending time at the lake.
