Shaliza was born and raised in Calgary and completed her undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia. She furthered her studies obtaining her law degree with honours at the University of Exeter, a prestigious Russell Group university, set in the beautiful Devonian hills of southwest England.

Shaliza’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation; however, she also has experience in wills & estates, immigration, and family law. She has spent most of her career working on a national scale and has been called to the Bar in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick. She has represented Schedule A  banks, insurance companies, and asset-based financers.

Outside the office, Shaliza is actively involved in her community. She serves alongside her husband as a religious minister for their congregation, performing daily services, baptisms, funerals, and weddings. She loves to travel and dreams of checking places off her extensive travel bucket list. Shaliza enjoys spending time with her husband and their corgi, Waffle.
