Jeff was raised in Alberta and completed his law degree at the University of Saskatchewan after earning his undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary. His early commitment to leadership and community engagement led him to serve as both President of the University of Calgary Alumni Association and as a member of the University’s Senate, experiences that reflect his lifelong dedication to building strong professional and community connections. He joined the Stringam team as Counsel in 2025.
With over 30 years of experience, Jeff’s legal practice focuses primarily on real estate, commercial development, and lending. He has worked as in-house counsel, as a sole practitioner, and with regional, national, and international law firms. Jeff has represented clients ranging from individual in-fill builders to North America’s largest privately held land developer. His extensive experience also extends into complex, multi-million-dollar commercial banking transactions, and in recent years he has developed a niche practice acting for both banks and First Nations in litigation financing.
Outside the office, Jeff is actively involved in sports and his community. He serves as Vice President of the Calwest Basketball Association and dedicates time to coaching. In his downtime, Jeff enjoys summers with his family at the cabin—whether around the fire or on the water—and winters skiing at Sunshine Village or cheering on his favorite hockey teams.
