Rockey holds degrees in economics, international studies, and law from the universities of British Columbia, Yonsei, and Alberta.
For over fifteen years, he has been a member of the Alberta bar, appearing at every level of court. He litigates matters in all areas, including civil and criminal, and advises on general corporate/commercial matters. Qualified in New York and California, he argued large, complex matters in international commercial arbitration and investment treaty disputes for half a decade at a Global 200 law firm in Asia.
Born in Toronto, Rockey spent his formative years in Jasper, Alberta. When not practicing law, he keenly follows foreign affairs, cheers for the Oilers, and spends time with his family in the Rockies (which is his namesake). He feels fortunate to serve the oil sands community, a globally significant energy centre.
