LINDSAY GATES

Lindsay Gates has practiced law in Saskatchewan since being called to the Bar in 2009. She obtained both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her LL.B. with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and is currently completing her LL.M. in Dispute Resolution at York University. Over the course of her career, Lindsay has developed extensive experience in litigation, negotiation, mediation, and dispute resolution, with a reputation for practical advice, strong advocacy, and a results-focused approach.

Lindsay’s practice focuses primarily on family law and estates, although she also enjoys corporate work and completing real estate transactions. She regularly assists clients with divorce, parenting disputes, support matters, property division, estate litigation, and complex disputes involving family businesses, farm operations, and significant assets. In addition to her litigation practice, Lindsay is a certified family mediator and parenting coordinator, helping clients resolve disputes efficiently and constructively whenever possible. She has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, including the Court of Appeal.

Outside of her practice, Lindsay is actively involved in her community and the legal profession. She serves as Vice-Chair of the Law Foundation of Saskatchewan and has held leadership roles with several organizations, including the Southwest Bar Association and Southwest Crisis Services. Lindsay also volunteers extensively in minor hockey and enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children’s activities.
